Everyone has a right to protect their own art and writing and have the option to do with it as they see fit. In my opinion these laws were created to protect and allow the intillectual rigts holder to make a living off of the distribution of thier creations for what-ever purpose they choose to use it for. further steps have been done to protect the intilectual property of artists by making it harder for companies to clame rights over an artists work when they purchase it for publishing. Art is Immortal

In the brodest scence of the term all art is immortal as long as there is a form of abstract thought art is going to be created. I don't like to think of quotes like this in this way because the quote just becomes a blanket statement, and it loses any meaning to me what so ever. So what does the quote art is immortal mean to me? What that praticular quote said to me is that art in its most literal sense is not immortal. It will more or less disapear for eternity especially if no one sees it.
